Logica has joined with the Human Capital Forum to announce a programme of workshops to help its clients develop advanced human capital tools. The aim of the initiative is to encourage a transformation in business culture and measurement in which workforce intelligence becomes a core metric for all senior managers.
Two summer workshops, respectively for HR directors and non-HR executives of Logica clients; followed by a joint plenary in the autumn, will involve discussion and active development of practical human capital reports. The aim is to generate ideas for reporting measures and operational tools that can be directly applied by employers to gain tangible business returns from smarter deployment of the workforce.
Philip Whiteley, chair of the Human Capital Forum, said: ‘Employers would benefit from a Copernican shift in which people are seen as the central focus of measurement, understanding and management – away from the 20th Century model of the passive “human resource”. Our experience at the Human Capital Forum has shown that use of just a few indicators – for example around successful recruitment methods – can add hundreds of thousands of pounds to the bottom line for relatively modest outlay.’
All three events will feature both interim and final reports, and will be supported by online tools.
